It was during this time that representatives from the different departments were fielded in order to address various governance and management concerns. Electronics city is currently comprised of three phases, the aptly named Phase I, Phase II and Phase III. It was the development of Phase 2 that opened the door to more and more companies setting up shop in Electronics City. Unfortunately, this development has also caused traffic to and from Bangalore to increase considerably. In order to ease the traffic, construction work on an elevated road was started in late 2004.
